About BiACEM

Biomic_Auth coordinates a Twinning EU grant (HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ACCESS-03) which aims to enhance networking activities between research institutions of the Widening countries such as Greece, and top-class leading counterparts at European Union level.

The project links Biomic with:

Objectives

  • Establish strategic networking with the advanced partners, improving the research and excellence capacity of Biomic in life science metabolomics

  • Build close collaboration with the advanced partners and realise novel research in collaboration

  • Train Biomic_ AUTh young researchers to cover pain points of the team

  • Develop the creativity of the Biomic staff and especially its younger researchers & boost in the capabilities of the group

  • Upgrade of Biomic to strengthen its position as a focal point for the realisation of R&D efforts in metabolomics-lipidomics biomarker discovery in life sciences in Greece

  • Strengthen staff’s research management capacity and administration skills

  • Cover long-lasting needs of the Greek metabolomics research ecosystem, promoting a field that is highly relevant to national and regional research and innovation

Activities

  • Establishment direct link and collaboration of Biomic with the partners for the benefit of the group by the critical mass of expertise and resources of the involved partners
  • Plan for researchers’ short visits and exchange to promote training
  • Plan for common research work on demonstration topics
  • Measures to promote research management at Biomic
  • Continuous cutting-edge training and innovation, transfer of knowledge & expertise
